Nimbus

NIMBUS is a magnificent worsted yarn made from a blend of two extraordinary 100% merino fibers: Merino d'Arles, the fleece of a breed of sheep raised in the plains of Camargue and Crau, and Merino du Portugal, from the Alentejo farms in southern Portugal, both already used in the FADO range. An initial mottled blend (ecru and brown) is then dyed in the Fonty workshops. Thanks to this process, the NIMBUS color chart is characterized by a range of 21 mottled, tone-on-grey colors, with a deep, cloudy and milky density. NIMBUS is a four-ply yarn, soft, elegant and subtle, full of character, and very pleasant to knit with needles no. 3.5 or 4. NIMBUS can be hand washed with or without fabric softener, without spinning and preferably dried flat.
