SAPERLIPOPETTE is the latest addition to the Fonty yarn collection. It is a lovely, fluffy, precious and delicate yarn. Although it does not contain any goat fleece (mohair), its appearance and feel completes the family of mohair yarns ( OMBELLE , BLING-BLING, and MOUSTACHE ), and angora yarns ( COEUR D'ANGORA ). SAPERLIPOPETTE is a soft and fluffy yarn, with a soft and fluffy feel, which actually belongs to the alpaca yarn family ( ALPACA , ALPACA NAT , POLAIRE and POLE , SAPERLIPOPETTE); it is also an extraordinary alternative for people allergic to mohair. Entirely natural, it is made from a subtle blend of three exceptional fleeces. The 65% baby suri fibers provide a vaporous, cloudy, and fuzzy appearance. The 20% silk adds strength and elasticity, as well as a shiny, silky appearance. The extra-fine merino fiber completes the ensemble by enhancing its loft, volume, and softness. The suri is a member of the alpaca family (a species of llama, a branch of the camelid family), raised in semi-freedom in the Andean highlands. Its fleece is finer, wavier (a bit rasta, like dreadlocks), and shinier than that of the common alpaca (huacayo). SAPERLIPOPETTE can be knitted alone, doubled, or in combination with another yarn. When knitted alone, SAPERLIPOPETTE is recommended with needles # 3.5 to 4. SAPERLIPOPETTE is best washed by hand, with mild soap (Marseille soap, if possible organic), without spinning, and dried flat.
