Tartan 6

TARTAN 6 is a magnificent 100% wool carded yarn, machine washable. The colors are mottled, tone on tone, bright and deep. The manufacturing principle is inspired by that of SUPER TWEED : the raw wool is dyed in fluff, then mixed with unbleached wool, in three different proportions. Each mixture is then spun, then twisted. Thus, with a single dye bath, three coherent and graduated colors were developed. In the process, we reduced the ecological footprint of the dyeing operations. TARTAN 6 is a subtle, soft and puffy yarn, assembled in 6 strands, which is available in 27 mottled colors. It is knitted with size 6 needles. TARTAN 6 has a little brother, TARTAN 3 , assembled in 3 strands, with the same 27 colors, and which is knitted with size 4 needles. TARTAN 6 is machine washable at 30 degrees (delicate wool cycle) with or without fabric softener, without spinning and preferably flat drying.
